Don't fall for impostors on the interwebs!

This is a FAKE page! Note the url differs from the actual url of
Chelsea Hoffman: Case to Case on FB. The real url for the ONLY
FB page associated with my brand is Facebook.com/ChelseaHoffmanCrime
I don't address these situations very often, because I'd really rather ignore the unpleasant stuff that is said about me online. Being a public figure, someone who has a small degree of celebrity status, I have learned to accept that there are a lot of mean-spirited people online. You see them everywhere: In the comments on Youtube, the comments on media reports, and using 'anonymous' or obviously fake Facebook accounts to comment on various community pages and groups. They're trolls, and they like to incite emotional responses from people whether those responses be angry or despaired. Psychologists have noted proven connections between internet trolls and mental/behavioral disorders such as borderline personality disorder. So truly, the behavior of online trolls is the behavior that certain individuals have expressed for thousands of years. They are sadists.

Being unabashedly outspoken and opinionated, I attract a fair share of 'haters' -- and I admit that I've been less-than-graceful in how I've handled myself when confronted by behaviorally disturbed cyberbullies and trolls. I absolutely own up to some of the terrible things I've said in anger to people who, frankly, deserved what was said to them. And I've apologized for the times that have truly warranted apologies. However, I don't own up to things that I did not say or do.

There are numerous fake images that claim to be screenshots of me saying cruel and heartless things that I would not say and have not said. Some of the images appear to have originated from Facebook and even use my name "Chelsea Hoffman: Case to Case" -- but they are not me! I found an impostor Facebook page that uses my images and my name right down to the letter. This is the source of some of the nasty things that are being said. I suspect that whoever is behind this page is making the comments and then screencapping them so they can share them around the internet to stir up animosity. Of course, that's not at all surprising, but it's still unacceptable.

This is why you can't believe everything you see on the internet. You can't believe every screenshot you see, and you can't take every online rumor seriously. Nutjobs exist out there who like to screw around with other people because their own lives are void of any joy or meaning. These people are better off completely ignored. I realize that by even writing about this, I'm only giving them the petty amount of attention they are seeking, but I have to let my readers and fans know that there is only ONE Chelsea Hoffman: Case to Case Facebook page, and it is NOT the one you see pictured above.

The ONLY Facebook page associated with me or my brand can be found here:
https://www.facebook.com/chelseahoffmancrime

Note that the url ends in "ChelseaHoffmanCrime" -- This is the only Facebook url used by me. Any other Facebook page that claims to be Chelsea Hoffman: Case to Case is an impostor/troll page that is being used to cook up faked screenshots of conversations that never happened.

Who murdered Lisa Bollaert?

It's been five years since 37-year-old Lisa Bollaert was brutally slain -- and the search for her killer has pretty much turned into a cold case investigation. The Tulsa, Oklahoma woman was last seen hitchhiking from New York to Tulsa, and was staying in a Salvation Army shelter. She wasn't missing very long before her badly beaten body was found wrapped in a garbage bag.

Grainy surveillance footage shows a man who may know what have happened to her -- and could very well be the man responsible for what happened to her. However, that is all investigators have: grainy footage. There are no names, no persons of interest, no suspects. It's as though this woman's killer has completely gotten away with it.

Fat shaming troll fat shames

We have a new entry on our troll wall of shame, where I simply publicize my cyberbullies instead of engaging with them (something I am very slowly learning to do, with plenty of mistakes along the way). This woman's name is Elzbieta Wicik, and she doesn't like fat people. Shame on Elzbieta Wicik for shaming fatties like me, but hey, now she can come and admire her work anytime she feels like it by visiting my blog!
Her remark was in response to "Would you pay Casey Anthony to clean your house?" Of course she was talking about yours truly -- or at the least one of my wonderful fans. I don't tolerate bullies, and I'm not sorry for that!

Shame on you Rosenberg Police Department!

This is the original post made by Rosenberg Police Dept.
Update: The Rosenberg Police Department is continuing to avoid the point that I have made about their initial comment of "Amen..."

So Rosenberg Police Department (Texas) posted a meme yesterday saying "Let's let God back in our schools!" -- and they posted "Amen..." as a comment that clearly endorses the Christian (or at least a single-deity) faith as an official faith in public schools. This is bad because it violates federal laws that prohibit government offices/bodies from endorsing/promoting the establishment of a single religion.

Being an activist for atheism and atheist rights on a national level (not just my own backyard) I took it upon myself to call this police department and request a comment from the officers in charge of posting this religious meme. I left a message with one of the officers, but the call was never returned. Instead -- they quickly edited the meme to omit the words "Amen.." and instead posted a different comment (which is shown in the comment in this article) <---- click the link!!

They also posted this comment in the feed where hundreds of people argued against their promotion of Christianity as a government office -- and some in support of it:

We would like to be clear about this post..the point was to stimulate interaction about having the right to choose to agree or disagree. It was not a statement about religion.
Choice n. defined as..
1. The act of choosing; selection.
2. The power, right, or liberty to choose; option.
3. One that is chosen.
4. A number or variety from which to choose: a wide choice of styles and colors.
5. The best or most preferable part.
6. Care in choosing.
7. An alternative.
Thank you for all the comments and keep following..
I for one think it's shameful that Rosenberg Police Department thinks it's okay to insult our intelligence. They didn't even delete the meme. They simply edited their public endorsement of god/prayer in schools, and tried to backtrack as if they never endorsed it in the first place. Well, they must not be aware that Facebook keeps a public edit log of all the posts, and all one has to do is click the highlighted "edited" link next to their post.
They simply 'edited' away their endorsement of Christianity in public schools...
At least they realized -- to some level -- that their endorsement of Christianity was wrong. But their dishonest way of wiggling out of admitting responsibility makes me glad I don't live in that town. Dishonest police officers are friends of nobody.

Do you have a domestic violence story?

A shocking DV advertisment
Do you have a domestic violence story? Sadly, one out of every four women will experience some form of domestic violence in their lifetimes -- meaning millions of women have domestic violence stories of their own. Even I have more than one domestic violence story -- and I've even opened up about one of the more traumatic experiences in my life. Survivors of domestic violence live with a burden that few can fathom, much less relate to -- and that's why it's important to share awareness in a progressing society, with hopes that one day the cycle can be broken.

On Sunday, August 10, 2014 at 6:00 p.m., PST I will present a very special podcast about the many facets of domestic violence (DV). I will feature exclusive interviews with at least one domestic violence survivor, and discuss some of the domestic violence related cases in current events. I will also discuss the misogyny of domestic violence against women -- who make up the majority of DV victims.

If you have your own domestic violence story and you want to have your voice heard, please get in touch with me personally before August 10th (Sunday) so I can interview you or get your story. You are also welcomed to send anonymous comments via my Ask.fm page (left sidebar to submit question/comment) which I will read and address in the presentation. You can also send an email (via the contact tab at top of page) and share your story in writing instead of audibly.

Jenise Paulette Wright: Another child missing under suspicious circumstancesJenise Pa

Jenise Wright, age 6, was last seen on Saturday night in her home -- "around bedtime" according to her parents.
Her parents reportedly waited an entire day before they reported her missing -- which means her case didn't really reach media attention until Monday. She had been missing for two days by this time.

Now here it is on day three -- and there are still no clues. What happened to this missing child? Please share the flyer to help get attention to her disappearance. And subscribe to this blog or follow me on AllVoices for updates in this case!

Did Jenise Wright's parents fail polygraph tests?

This is a breaking update in the search for six-year-old Jenise Wright: Law enforcement authorities have revealed that the results of polygraph tests taken by the parents will not be made public. It's hard to understand why investigators would choose to do this, but on the other hand it could be an indicator of what's to come in this case. If the parents had passed the polygraph tests last night, wouldn't the investigators quickly release this to the public? Wouldn't the parents be willing to address this publicly?

If the parents failed the polygraph test, it wouldn't be surprising. After all, they waited a full 24 hours before even reporting the six-year-old girl missing. What's more: CPS authorities have removed two more children from the home: A 12-year-old girl and an eight-year-old boy.

All of the clues in this case, thus far, indicate that little Jenise Wright suffered some kind of foul play -- and her parents may either be in on it, or they otherwise know more than they are sharing with investigators.

Is entire family hiding something in Jenise Wright's disappearance?

If you read this recent update in the disappearance of Jenise Wright, you'll find that her older sisters (who are 23 and 20) are defending the missing girl's mother. This is in direct response of the much-deserved public scrutiny against them for waiting to report the child missing for 24 hours. It seems that these adult women think it's okay that the little girl was allowed to wander freely in the trailer park neighborhood they called home.

There are close to 100 registered sex offenders living in the town of Bremerton, Washington -- where the little girl vanished. Many of these registered sex offenders have been convicted of crimes against children, and at least one of them is a "risk level 3" offender. That means if Jenise truly was left to wander on her own frequently, then she was made a prime target for these offenders (and the likely numerous offenders who have not yet been caught and made to register). If someone either familiar with the trailer park -- or residing in it -- had any opportunity to prey on a child, then that child would have definitely been Jenise Wright.

However, it just seems a little convenient that the older sisters are rushing to defend the mother's parenting instead of using their platform on the media to plea for the return of their six-year-old sister. Instead of asking for more help in searching for the little girl, or asking for any presumed predators to release her, the girls used the time to simply defend the mom's decision to let the girl wander.

I have a question to ask: Have the older sisters been given polygraph tests?

Jenise Wright timeline

Jenise Wright has been missing for going on five days now, and officials aren't really sharing a lot of information in the case. They aren't calling this an abduction, nor are they naming the parents as suspects, and they aren't allowing volunteers to help in the search. This is perplexing, but there must be a reason for it. To help gain better understanding of the case, I've laid out the following timeline. Check back often as this post will be updated with each necessary development.

Saturday, August 2nd between 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.:  This is around the last time Jenise was seen by her family. It would be 24 hours later before she'd be reported missing.

Sunday, August 3rd:The FBI confirms that the official search for Jenise beganat 10:34 p.m., after KCSO were called to the family residence at Steele Creek Mobile Home Park in East Bremerton, Wash.

Monday, August 4th between 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.: The parents of the missing child are given polygraph tests and agree to have their home searched by investigators. The results of the polygraph test have not been made public. CPS officials remove the underage children from the home after police find "probable cause" to do so.

Tuesday, August 5th: Adult sisters defend the parents after public scrutinizes them for allowing a six-year-old child to roam freely by herself in the trailer park. It's revealed that James Wright (father of the missing child) had previously been charged with child molestation of his two stepdaughters (possibly the adult sisters of Jenise) but he pleaded the charge down to 4th degree assault.

Wednesday, August 6th: Police turn away volunteers wanting to search for Jenise and begin playing down the father's criminal past. FBI and police decide that sniffer dogs will be brought in on the search. Search area expands. Officials confirm that there is no evidence of an abduction, but refuse to call the parents suspects.

Robert Trucks thinks violence against women is funny

First he thought it was funny that a pregnant woman was victim in the knockout-game. Then he took it a little further.
Never mind the fact that he misspelled my name even though it was right in front of him. Nobody said men from Alabama were intelligent.

What I wonder is if Killin' Time Charters and Northern Guide Service knows that their "chief executive officer" condones violence against women, including pregnant crime victims? See photo and link below:

Kristy Kelley case profile Part I

Kristy Kelley vanished in the early morning hours of Friday, August 15, 2014. Now her loved ones are seeking answers, but there are very few details on which to speculate. However, the latest developments in this missing woman's case seem to indicate a possible connection between her disappearance and the recent disappearance of another missing woman less than 20 miles away.

I've already speculated upon the possible connection between Kristy's case and the disappearance of Joelle Lockwood. And upon learning more information about Kristy's whereabouts and activity prior to her disappearance, it's easier to draw a connection between her case and Lockwood's -- and maybe even other missing women in the region. She was reportedly heading to a popular late night dive when she was last seen -- something that is being omitted from many media reports. The particular bar she was allegedly going to is known to be a pretty rowdy place that attracts a colorful crowd of people. However, it's not even known if she went to this bar because her mother -- via Facebook -- claims otherwise (does she know for a fact, though? That's the question).

If police can eliminate foul play caused by a lover or former lover (such as her ex husband or anyone who knew her) then it's likely that a serial predator played a role in her disappearance. Especially since so many people are missing in Indiana -- in particular a handful of those cases are currently active!

I will be watching this case closely from here on out...

Utah Missing Child Alert FOUND SAFE!

Finally, an arrest in Jaren Lockhart's murder!

$

May 7, 2014: This morning at approximately 7:00 a.m., Margaret Sanchez was arrested and charged with second degree murder and kidnapping -- though these are curious charges to say the least. Why second degree murder when she is being charged with kidnapping? Many states have "special circumstances" charges that turn any death that results from a kidnapping into a capital charge, so are Louisiana officials referring to the murder and dismemberment of Jaren Lockhart as a crime of passion or unplanned violence?

It's fortunate that Margaret has finally been arrested and charged while her presumed accomplice is already behind bars after absconding as a registered sex offender. Here's to hoping the next chapter in Jaren's case ends with a conviction and true justice being served!

Melissa Klein should ditch her husband and reopen her bakery

$

I've found myself sympathizing with Melissa Klein, who is the owner of disgraced bakery Sweet Cakes by Melissa. The Gresham, Oregon woman is married to Aaron Klein, who is essentially the entire reason why her bakery became notorious in the first place. Before he reduced a lesbian couple to tears and discriminated against them by refusing to bake a cake for their same sex union, their business supposedly thrived. Melissa was doing what she loved up until all of this controversy. She was making artistic baked creations for people in her area with some decent feedback. Melissa broke down and cried recently at the Values Voters Summit, and she called herself a "compassionate" person. Well, I'm actually a compassionate person too, and I can recognize when a person isn't 100% in control of his or her life. I believe that's been the case with Melissa, and I pity her.

Over the course of this entire ordeal, Melissa has not been the loud and outspoken one. She wasn't even the one who turned away the lesbian couple in the first place -- as far as reports indicate. Instead, she's taken on the role of support for her husband -- standing by her man as he operates as the mouthpiece for the business that bears her name. Anytime that she has spoken about the situation, she has appeared confused and flustered -- almost as if she wasn't exactly sure of her own arguments. Could it be that this is because they were never necessarily her arguments at all, but those of her clearly controlling husband?

I believe that Melissa Klein can be a compassionate person, but she needs to work on herself as a person first. She doesn't appear confident. She seems broken and meek, as if she's scared of something. I think if she reopened her bakery without Aaron in her life she would find acceptance from those her husband rejected so callously. I think she'd find a new lease on life and may actually become a stronger and happier person.
