Hannah Anderson admits to turning own phone off on day of 'kidnapping'

Hannah Anderson took to her Ask.fm account today this week and over the past couple of days she has done a lot of talking -- and a lot of bickering with girls in her peer group. She came unglued on her profile in a poor display of self defense against the very apparent bullying that she is experiencing. However, in the process of letting loose on her public social media page, she also revealed more details about what may have happened to her the day her mother and brother died. In particular, she made a sort of confession that serves as a new element in this entire story.

Below is a partial transcript of her Ask.fm profile where she admits to switching off her own cellphone on the day of her kidnapping:

Hannah, please help me out here. Police said you turned your pone off when you got picked up from cheer 3 August. Did your battery die or did you turn your phone off?

Hannah:I turned it off just on the way up there because he always got mad that I was constantly on my phone. So I didn't wanna be tempted to go on it.

Here's where my hinky meter is going off on Hannah's little confession:

Assuming she is telling the truth about why she shut the phone off, why would this matter if Jim was only taking her to the house in Boulevard where she'd (presumably) be reunited with her mother and brother. Keep in mind that at this time we are to believe that Hannah was not aware of any kidnapping plans or murders. It doesn't really make sense that she'd instinctively turn off her phone after exchanging over a dozen texts/phone calls with this man if she was just going to be with her mom and brother riding go-karts and having fun at "Uncle Jim's" house. In fact, her excuse for turning off her own phone seems an awful lot like a sort of re-imagining of the jealousy he supposedly expressed while they were on their trip along together in Hollywood. It seems that she was falling back on this as a presumably good reason to turn off her own cellphone, but they weren't going to be alone together -- unless, for some reason, she knew they were going to be alone together.

Regardless of the reason she has provided -- and it's a weak question -- the main fact of importance that has come out is that Hannah Anderson turned off her own cellphone after exchanging at least 13 texts and/or calls with the man accused of killing her mom and brother and kidnapping her. If that doesn't add even a minute amount of suspicion to this case, then I don't know what does!

Murdered hooker Ivy Harris may finally get justice

Fortunately for Ivy's loved ones, there may at least be justice on one front. The man accused of murdering her could face a court-martial over his alleged involvement with her death. While it's fortunate that there could be some jail time in this man's future, the family needs to focus their efforts now on healing and perhaps getting Ivy's story out there so other young women don't make the same horrible mistakes that this woman did. Young women should be taught to be independent and to think for themselves to avoid being pimped out and used and put in the path of danger that could lead them to being murdered. Ivy's death was senseless and could have been prevented, but it serves as a message to others so it was not in vain.

An apology to my readers

**Update** Taylor Street Books has agreed in email to revert rights of The River of No Return back to me and they will cease publication. I will be working on putting the book back together using the original manuscript so my readers can see what the book was supposed to be. Stay tuned.

**Note** I want to clarify that my publicist had no part of this. Cat Griffin has worked hard and has been nothing but amazing during this entire ordeal. The entire issue rests solely on the shoulders of Taylor Street Books/Publishing due to their errors and gross negligence of important detail.

I must apologize to my readers who purchased copies of "The River of No Return: On the trail of Hannah Anderson and Jim DiMaggio" and I must announce that I will no longer be using "Taylor Street Books" -- who is run by Tim Roux and Kathleen Hewtson (aliases Tim Hewtson and Kathleen McKenna).

It has been brought to my attention by over a dozen different people that the book "The River of no Return: On the trail of Hannah Anderson and Jim DiMaggio" is riddled with errors. I was told of multiple spelling errors, grammatical errors and punctuation errors. I must be perfectly clear in stating that I do not even own an official copy of this book yet. I simply have the document that was given to me by Tim, the "editor" of the piece, titled "Finished book without photos." This is the only copy of their finished version that I have. I have been comparing it to my original manuscript and have found that there are errors introduced into the book, but these are no big deal. However, I DO know how to spell Jodi Arias and her name is spelled correctly in my manuscript. How it ended up misspelled in the final piece is beyond me. I don't understand this.

There is also a whole section in there about whether or not Hannah is left or right handed. I did NOT approve this. This is NOT my theory, and I would have never speculated such a thing. I specifically told Taylor Street Books that this couldn't be speculated because some people differ with their dominant hand usage (using me as an example). They ignored me and sneaked it into the book. It flew right past me and I was not even aware of it until someone questioned me about it. This is something that I believed I was clear on not wanting in my book, and around the time that I rejected this idea they had some other theory they wanted to inject into the book. I specifically told them to NEVER put anything in my book that is not my original idea without running it by me. They repaid me by sneaking in that section.

I apologize that Taylor Street Books actually omitted an entire chapter that they were given not once but two times. The entire chapter about Jenn -- Hannah Anderson's aunt -- was completely neglected by the publisher even after it was given to them twice. I feel that this was the most important chapter. This was a chapter that I felt very emotionally about. It was extremely important to me and I am just devastated that the editor/publisher just completely flaked on it.

I expect these unforgivable errors to be fixed, but the damage has already been done in my honest opinion. This publisher introduced errors and theories that I did not authorize into the book and then completely neglected a part of the book that was even publicized in international and national media. There is simply no telling how many copies have sold like this...but I am sure that far too many people deserve either refunds or apology notes with brand new copies, but I am not in charge of that.

Furthermore, I have severed my relationship with Taylor Street Books after the final straw when they sent an email to my online stalker apologizing to her for me without even running the idea  by me, and without even looking into the situation to know that the person was in no way in the right in any situation. The person in question is a known troll and stalker with a presence on Facebook and Twitter that many people are aware of in more than just the Hannah Anderson case. This person was once on my friend list and then removed and has since been on a campaign to retaliate against me for no longer talking to her. She has harassed me with fraudulent Amazon reviews and weird emails, even going as far as blackmailing me -- holding my amazon reviews hostage unless I make a "truce" with her. The person is venomous and nuts and sent an email to my publisher -- an email I have not yet seen. Instead of checking with me Kathleen sent an email to this person and told her that I was "young and impoverished" -- two things that are not necessarily true and absolutely not things that I would have ever agreed to being said about me. She undermined me and falsely misrepresented me to an online stalker -- which means it will only be talked about to the other trolls. So in other words: No, I never apologized and I still do not.

Now my emails are being ignored even though we have a legally binding contract between us and they have a duty to fix the errors in the book. This entire experience has left me completely suspicious of this publisher and they have nobody but themselves to blame for this. The integrity of this entire project has been ruined by errors and forgotten chapters, and it has reminded me of why I self published in the first place. From now on any works published by me will be through Case to Case's parent producer Crime Scene Media.

Let it be on public record that I have fulfilled my end of the contract and all that is left is for them to pay the royalties I am owed as per their contractual agreement. November 07, 2013 -- signed, Chelsea K. Hoffman.

The River of No Return: The Missing Chapter

When I wrote The River of No Return: On the trail of Hannah Anderson and Jim DiMaggio, I had intended for an entire chapter about Jennifer Willis to be in the book. In fact, when the chapter was written and submitted to my former publisher, I was immediately sent on a media campaign tour to discuss this very important chapter. I was just as shocked as my readers when I found that this chapter was mysteriously missing from the published version of the book. I was also very shocked to see the numerous blatant errors in the "edited" version of the book, which included a fair amount of errors that weren't even in my manuscript. That is for a different story, though. The point of this post is because I owe it to every single person who purchased the book produced by Taylor Street Books/Taylor Street Publishing. You all purchased a book that was grossly neglected by the publisher and in turn you missed out on important details that belonged in the book. The following is the original chapter that I wrote after having a discussion with Jennifer Willis. This has not been edited by Taylor Street Books. However, they have an edited version that for some reason didn't find its way in the book they published. I have my own suspicions about this, but for now I have to operate under the belief that the publisher was sloppy and just "forgot" to put in the most important chapter in the book. I publish this original version with the intent to show that I did indeed work hard on this project and tried to push forth a quality body of work -- which was in turn sabotaged either deliberately or not.

I dedicate this chapter to Jennifer Willis, to Christina Anderson and to little Ethan. I also dedicate it to each and every one of you out there who were cheated out of this chapter after being led to believe (as I was ) that it would be in the book.

Taylor Street Publishing is stealing from me (and you)

Do not purchase the version of "my" book published by Taylor Street Publishing. They are currently committing theft and copyright infringement by keeping "The River of No Return" on their Amazon KDP account. After pulling it down and reverting the rights back to me, they have chosen to publish the book for 99 Cents on Kindle. This is theft and it is directly infringing copyright laws. I have filed a claim with Amazon.Com and they will be investigating Taylor Street Publishing.  The only OFFICIAL version of my book can be found through Crime Scene Media. Click here to see the official "The River of No Return."

If any of you purchased a copy offered by Taylor Street Publishing, demand a refund.

Is this possible? Was Brittany Murphy murdered by the United States government? It seems a little far fetched, but it's terrifying nonetheless. It's almost clear that she was poisoned to death, if the government didn't do it, who did?

I had intended to screencap the chat to document for this post but my browser crashed and I lost the entire chat transcript, so I apologize! However, I do have some links to share that you missed during the podcast if you weren't listening live or participating in the chat-room. At the end of the show my dogs (3 bratty chihuahuas) snapped at each other and it sounded like a bird freaking out. Sorry about that!
