Taylorlyn Nelson presumed murdered, but where is her body?

Authorities in Arizona have been searching for 21-year-old Taylorlyn Nelson since the end of March, but there are now some devastating developments in her case. Loved ones of the missing woman have confirmed that a man has been arrested in association with her murder. However, she remains missing with no determinable end to the search. Will this missing woman's body ever be found, or is the state of Arizona going to have to prosecute their suspect without a body of evidence?

Taylorlyn vanished from the Phoenix area sometime after March 11. Since she was last seen, her disappearance has attracted media attention, thanks to the endeavors of her loved ones. Unfortunately, an update from her family members has confirmed that a man named Kodi Bowe has been arrested, and is accused of killing the 21-year-old Arizona woman. Circumstances surrounding the alleged murder of the missing woman are not yet being clarified in media reports.

How did this woman die? Was the man accused of killing her someone she trusted, or was this an act of random homicidal violence? Hopefully some information can be shed on this developing tragedy. Meanwhile, authorities continue searching for the remains of the woman believed to be slain by Kodi Bowe.

What happened to Krista Sypher? My thoughts

Authorities in Portage County, Wisconsin have been searching for Krista Sypher since around March 20th, but little has come up in the search for the missing woman. There are some suspicious circumstances in this case that have attracted my attention. In particular, I'm perplexed at the fact that her husband failed to report her missing for at least a week after she was last seen. Does this mean he is hiding something, or that he may be involved in her disappearance? Or did other circumstances lead to the lengthy delay in reporting the Wisconsin woman missing?

Krista Sypher was reported missing by her husband on the 20th of March, but had last been seen by loved ones on the 13th -- seven days prior to being reported missing. Since the search for the missing woman began, police have executed a number of search warrants in association with the investigation. Stevens Point Journal reports that detectives aren't ruling anything out in regards to her disappearance. That includes the possibility that the 44-year-old woman is the victim of foul play. This possibility could stem from the fact that Krista's husband was the last person to see her, in their home.

Search warrants in association with this case have been sealed, so the details within them are not being released to the public. However, it's known that authorities have warrants to search the residence where the missing woman was last seen by her husband. Vehicles belonging to members of the family are also included in the "pile" of search warrants in this case.

While there is not much reported evidence to support any theory about the husband of this missing woman, I must point out that the statistics are stacked against him. In most cases involving missing or murdered women, authorities investigate the spouse or romantic partner first and foremost. Sadly, in most of these cases, their suspicions against the spouses turn out to be proven true.

Hopefully more information becomes available in the disappearance of Krista Sypher, but it looks like authorities in Wisconsin are playing this case close to their collective chests. If you know anything about this woman's disappearance, or if you think you've seen something of interest to authorities, please do not hesitate to call the Plover Police Department.

Where is Elizabeth Armistead? Texas woman missing for nearly a month

Police in Bastrop County, Texas have been looking for Elizabeth Armistead. The 26-year-old woman hasn't been seen since around March 13th, and the circumstances surrounding her disappearance are thin. What happened to this missing woman?

With it being nearly a month since Elizabeth vanished, it's hard to rule out that she could be the victim of foul play -- especially given the fact that she has not been in contact with her loved ones. Unfortunately, this woman's case isn't attracting much attention in the mainstream media -- nor has social media picked up any interest in it. With this lack of interest, and lack of movement, it may become easy for this case to slip between the cracks, remaining unsolved.

If you know anything about the disappearance of Elizabeth Armistead, please do not hesitate to contact authorities in Bastrop County. Authorities in Texas could use all the help necessary in locating this missing woman.

Florida woman missing: Where is Shalimar Cliburn?

Authorities in Sumter County, Florida are looking for Shalimar Cliburn. The 27-year-old woman was last seen around March 4th, and hasn't been in contact with her loved once since this date. This is a disturbing detail in her disappearance, with it being more than a month since anyone has seen or heard from her. Is this missing woman the victim of foul play, or did she vanish under some other circumstances?

The details surrounding the disappearance of Shalimar Cliburn aren't widely available, but police believe she was last seen at a residence in early March. She may be driving a a 2005 Grey Dodge Neon, but neither the missing woman or the vehicle have been spotted sine the last day she was seen. The vehicle's plates are identified with Florida tags reading  ASDF41.

If you have seen this missing woman, or if you feel that you may have information regarding her disappearance, please do not hesitate to call authorities in Sumter County. The Florida woman's loved ones are taking to social media, in the meantime, in hopes of locating her.

Was Joann Ringer murdered? Missing woman's car located

Missing Massachusetts woman Joann Ringer vanished around March 2nd, and hasn't been in contact with her loved ones in over a month. The 39-year-old woman disappeared under mysterious circumstances, and now there are disturbing updates developing in her case. Could these latest updates indicate the worst case scenario in her disappearance? Or are authorities on the trail to locating this missing woman?

Police have confirmed that the car belonging to missing woman, Joann Ringer, has been located. The 2011 VW Jetta was found in Easthampton -- approximately an hour and a half from where she was last seen (in Clarksburg). The driven distance of this abandoned vehicle could indicate a number of possibilities in this developing case. However, the most important detail to remember is that Joann Ringer is still missing.

Authorities have their work cut out for them with this case. There are multiple questions to ask in regards to this case. For instance: What kind of lifestyle did Joann Ringer live? The circumstances of her life, the people with whom she surrounded herself, etc., etc., could lend a hand in narrowing down leads.

If you know anything about the disappearance of Joann Ringer, you are encouraged to contact authorities in Berkshire County, Mass. with any information you may have.

Alycia Yeoman update: Abandoned vehicle stirs worry in missing woman's case

Authorities in California are looking for missing Yuba College coed, Alycia Yeoman, who hasn't been seen since last Thursday. Now there are disturbing developments in this already-worrisome case, which could indicate a worst-case-scenario. The truck belonging to the missing California woman has been located, but she is still nowhere in sight.

This disappearance is particularly disturbing, due to the possibility that the missing woman could be a victim of kidnapping. However, authorities haven't necessarily confirmed with 100% certainty that Alycia Yeoman was abducted, or is missing against her will. What evidence exists in this case to support such a theory?

As for the discovery of the truck belonging to the missing woman: Authorities say that it had apparently gone off the road approximately 10 miles from the home where she was last seen. Police say footprints were visible in the mud near the abandoned vehicle, which appeared to walk away from it. This could indicate that Alycia Yeoman was involved in an accident before wandering way from the vehicle on her own. What's worrisome about this possibility, is the possibility that the young coed could have been seriously injured in the incident. I should note that police have not noted whether or not any signs of injury were present at the scene of the abandoned truck.

Another possibility exists in this missing woman's case, however, but it's not a pleasant one at all. With it being several days since Alycia was last seen, it's hard to imagine that she'd not turn up if she was not indeed the victim of foul play. It's not out of the realm of possibility to theorize that an unknown party purposely drove the vehicle belonging to Alycia off the road and into the field where it was located. No evidence has been publicized to support such a theory, however.

If you have any information regarding the disappearance of Alycia Yeoman, please do not hesitate to contact the authorities in Live Oak, California.

Jessica Runions update: Remains found after six month search

Remains belonging to missing woman Jessica Runions have been located and identified, bringing an end to a search that has spanned across six months. Authorities have confirmed that a skull was found in a remote area -- not far from another set of human remains, which have not yet been identified. Was this missing woman slain? What's more: Is her death connected to the unidentified  body found near her remains?

A man has already been arrested in association with Jessica's disappearance, and has remained the prime suspect since his September arrest. Kylr Yust is accused of burning the vehicle belonging to Jessica Runions, which he allegedly did shortly following her mysterious disappearance. This, naturally, put him in the spotlight as the only suspect in her disappearance. Kylr is also accused of involvement with the disappearance of another young woman named Kara Kopetsky.

The loved ones of Kopetsky are awaiting the results of a possible identification of the other set of remains found near Jessica's skull. However, it's in the air as to how the identification could go. If the body belongs to the woman missing since 2007, this could confirm a definite connection between the two girls' disappearances. It could also directly connect Kylr Yust to both disappearances, once and for all, if he is tied at all to the scene of the recent grim discovery.

Horrifying Easter Sunday Crimes

Easter Sunday isn't all about chocolate, family dinners and festive scavenger hunts. It's also a day on which a plethora of horrifying crimes have been committed. While you enjoy this year's Spring festivities, keep in mind how lucky you are that you're not one of the subjects of the following horrifying cases (yet).

A brutal triple-slaying
In the year 1937, a disgruntled New Yorker apparently lost his mind on what some consider to be among the holiest of days. Police say Joseph Gedeon violently murdered his wife and his adult daughter, before turning on a roommate (boarder) in the home. The triple-slaying attracted mass media attention, not only because of the ferocity of the crime, but the day on which it occurred.

Joseph Gedeon denied knowledge of the crime, telling police that he had been out bowling on the night that his daughter (a model), his wife and their boarder were shot dead. However, detectives discovered a gun in his possession, which matched what was presumed used to kill the three victims. Other evidence led them to insist that Gedeon indeed committed the three murders.

The Rupert Massacre
On Easter Sunday, in the year 1975, an Ohio man committed a grisly multiple-slaying that outdid the brutality of the Gedeon murders of 1937. James Rupert methodically shot 11 members of his immediate and extended family at approximately 4:00 in the afternoon -- not long after the children in the family enjoyed an Easter egg hunt. The Ohio man used at least four different firearms to execute each member of his family, including the kids, shooting some of them multiple times each. Police have historically said that it didn't take longer than five minutes for James Rupert to execute 11 family members on what was supposed to be a day of family togetherness.

A senseless tragedy
On Easter Sunday 2016, a three-year-old girl became the victim of a senseless act of violence. The Detroit child was slain, after an intruder entered her family's residence and opened fire. Three-year-old Anaiya Denise Montgomery was shot multiple times, and died at the scene of the violent incident. Other members of her family were also shot, but nobody else suffered fatal injuries aside from the innocent toddler. Three people have been charged in association with Anaiya's murder.

Missouri mom accused of medical child abuse

A Missouri mom has been arrested, after authorities say she intentionally overdosed her own son with prescription steroids. KY 3 News reports that Sandra Stilgenbauer is accused of committing medical child abuse over the course of at least three years.

It's what some are calling a classic case of Muchausen Syndrome by Proxy. Authorities say that Stilgenbauer, herself a licensed medical professional, was warned by her son's primary doctors to not administer medications that he may not need. Nonetheless, she allegedly concocted the directive that he needed steroids, not long after he had undergone a gallbladder removal surgery.

Detectives say that the Missouri mom sought out the services of multiple doctors, before finally finding one who was willing to prescribe the medication -- which, again, was reportedly not needed. Medical professionals say that the past three years of dosing the child with steroids has caused him to develop a rare condition called Cushing Syndrome. Cushing Syndrome reportedly affects only around 200,000 people, and is considered to be the leading result of prolonged exposure of cortisol (which can be found in prescription steroids).

It's fortunate that Sandra Stilgenbauer has been apprehended before any further damage could be done to her son. However, Cushing Syndrome is a troublesome condition. While it can be successfully treated, it could also lead to the formation of cancerous tumors. Hopefully any damage caused to this child is reversible, and he can go on to live a normal life.

As for the Missouri mom accused of medical child abuse: Hopefully they throw the book at her. It seems that far too often mothers take advantage of the attention that comes from having a sick or disabled child -- sometimes to the point of inflicting serious injuries to their own flesh and blood for that sought-after "high."

Satara 'Silver' Stratton: A heartbreaking update

I'm saddened to share with readers of the Case to Case blog, that Satara Stratton has passed away. For those of you who remember her, she was the focus of one of my cases, back in 2012. She had gone missing, and her mother reached out to me. After Satara was found, she had a long road of recovery ahead of her, and I have been there to watch her along that path with hopes that she'd continue flourishing into the talented and ambitious person she was.

It's been five years since she was rescued from the grips of the sex offender who held her captive, and who kept her compliant with drugs. It's been five years since Satara was given a second chance at life, and she took great advantage of that second chance.

Some people are saying that Satara's death is the result of a drug overdose -- that she relapsed into heroin addiction. These insensitive, and ignorant, comments are all over the internet right now (I'm looking at youMyDeathSpace).

The fact of the matter is this: A homicide investigation is currently open in association with the death of Satara "Silver" Stratton.

None of us are really privy to the details surrounding this investigation. However, I am in contact with Satara's mother, and I am offering my assistance in any way that I can (even if it's simply through pushing awareness of her death in hopes that it puts the pressure on whomever is responsible).

Satara will be heavily missed by anyone who knew her. She was more than what superficial media reports ever made her out to be. She was incredibly intelligent. She was compassionate. She was driven by that intelligence and compassion to be involved in politics -- and her love of the arts fueled her ambition to be an actress. She was a multi-faceted person who shone as brightly as any star could.

May whomever took her life experience justice at the fullest, most possible extent.
I wrote this in 2015 -- two years after her rescue

Alycia Yeoman update: Ransom hoax causes distraction

$

It's been nearly two weeks since 20-year-old Alycia Yeoman was last seen by loved ones, and the investigation behind her disappearance is becoming sort of a mess. While authorities scramble to find the missing college coed, trolls have come out of the woodwork to disrupt things, and to cause unnecessary pain. In the latest update in this case, authorities have confirmed that they have tracked down the mystery person responsible for sending ransom notes to the missing woman's family.

According to CBS News, the mother of missing woman Alycia Yeoman received anonymous texts following her daughter's disappearance. The content of those texts demanded ransom money in exchange for information leading to Aly's whereabouts. The texts claimed that the 20-year-old college coed had been kidnapped.

Come to find out, the ransom texts were all just a hoax concocted by someone who clearly has too much time on his hands. Police have tracked him down, and confirmed that the suspect has nothing to do with the disappearance of Alycia Yeoman. This development comes as both a disappointment and as a relief. It's disappointing that police manpower and time that could have been used  to search for Alycia, has been wasted on a dead end -- a dead end perpetrated by a troll who has nothing to do with this case. It's a relief, however, that (as far as we know) Alycia has not been kidnapped and held for ransom.

Of course, with it being nearly two weeks since the California woman vanished, it's hard to determine what may have happened to her. The vehicle that she was last seen driving has been discovered, though, which is always indicative of bad news to come.

Was Annalise McClanahan-Calvert kidnapped?

$

Authorities in California are looking for 16-year-old Annalise McClanahan-Calvert. The young woman vanished on Sunday night, after walking outside during a church service that she was attending. Her loved ones are frantically trying to find her, and police are handling this disappearance as a "runaway" case. However, other circumstances may indicate that something is amiss in Northern California. Could this missing teen be the victim of foul play? Or is she missing voluntarily?

It should be noted that this is the second disappearance of a young woman, within a five-mile-radius, in the past two weeks. That detail alone is enough to feel a sense of dread, even though there aren't many details to indicate any outcome in this disappearance. Almost two weeks ago, 20-year-old Yuba College coed, Alycia Yeoman, disappeared after leaving her residence. Her truck has been found abandoned, but she still remains missing. The disappearance of 16-year-old Annalise McClanahan-Calvert took place approximately five miles from the disappearance of Alycia Yeoman.

Are these two disappearances related?

It's absolutely easy to look at two disappearances with suspicion, when they have occurred so close in time and distance together. However, coincidences can and do happen. While one case may be a possible kidnapping, the other could be a voluntary disappearance -- or vice versa. However, it should be noted that neither the disappearances of Alycia Yeoman or Annalise McClanahan-Calvert are being referred to as possible kidnappings. While authorities aren't ruling anything out, they are specifically investigating  Annalise's disappearance as a voluntary runaway situation.

I want to point out that police get things wrong sometimes. If it's not in this teen's ordinary behavior to disappear like this, then her loved ones need to remain diligent in pushing for her to be found. Hopefully the 16-year-old girl turns up soon, and this does turn out to be nothing more than a case of a runaway teen. But with the disappearance of Alycia Yeoman taking place just a short distance away, I'm a little concerned -- and I think detectives should be too.

Where is Tiffany Griffin? Woman missing from Maricopa County

Maricopa County authorities are looking for Tiffany Griffin. The 34-year-old Arizona woman was reported missing very recently, but hasn't been seen since January. Her loved ones say that she hasn't reached out to them in many months, which is a disturbing element in her disappearance. Could this missing woman be the victim of foul play? Or is her disappearance the result of other circumstances?

There are no media reports covering the disappearance of 34-year-old Tiffany Griffin.

Tiffany was last seen in the Phoenix area, but details surrounding her last sighting are practically nonexistent. Furthermore, the only photos provided of this woman in this search are mugshots -- and a single selfie. It's easy to presume that the lack of photos could make it difficult in spreading awareness of her case.

If you know anything about Tiffany's disappearance, you are encouraged to contact the authorities in Maricopa County. Any information could prove useful in tracking down Tiffany Griffin, or at least finding information that could lead to her whereabouts.

Missing teen alert: Where is Mikayla Chronister?

Authorities in Marion County, Oregon are looking for 16-year-old Mikayla Chronister. The teen was last seen on Christmas day 2016 -- but her disappearance has not attracted even a second of media coverage. With it being nearly four months since she vanished, will she ever resurface? Was this teen's holiday disappearance the result of something criminal, or is she another runaway waiting to resurface when she's of-age?

It's always disturbing to see a disappearance receive no media attention, especially when the disappearance involves a teenage girl. Mikayla Chronister's disappearance comes with very few details, so the circumstances surrounding her case are practically unknown by anyone but her loved ones. Meanwhile, authorities in Oregon are sharing her flyer on social media -- and she's listed among Oregon's missing children cases.

I should note that there are at least two public profiles on Facebook seeming to belong to this missing teenager. One of those profiles appears to show activity as recently as March -- indicating that she may no longer be "missing." However, authorities in Marion County Oregon continue to share her flyers as if she is still a missing teen. Could this mean that her social media profiles are fake? Or could this mean that she is brazenly using them while hiding from her loved ones as a runaway? Either of those scenarios are likely in a missing person investigation.

Mikayla Chronister is still officially missing.

Tammy Caison Moorer interview (Heather Elvis disappearance)

Author note: This post was written Heather Elvis initially vanished, and prior to the arrests of Tammy and Sidney Moorer. The following is the original post after my discussion with Mrs. Moorer, who is currently accused of the kidnaping of Heather Elvis, who has never been found.

While the search for Heather Elvis continues, there are tons of rumors and speculation being exchanged not only in Myrtle Beach, but across the nation. In particular, the "FindHeatherElvis" Facebook page seems to be the source of much conversation, where many of these rumors form or end up being passed along. With over 40,000 people on the page seeking answers in Heather's disappearance, that's only to be expected. Tonight (January 21, 2014) I had the opportunity to speak on the phone with someone involved in the case who's been the focus of heavy scrutiny, whose husband is mentioned in the official police report associated with Heather's disappearance.

Her name is Tammy Caison Moorer, and she's the wife of Sidney Moorer -- the "older man" that was reportedly involved with Heather before she vanished. She talked to me in hopes of addressing some of the rumors and discussion involving her family, and in hopes of clearing her and her hubby's names -- as she insists that neither one of them had anything to do with Heather's disappearance. I did not record the telephone conversation because much of it was "off the record." However, the quotes can be directly attributed to Tammy, put into the context of our discussion.

For starters, Tammy insists that she had no idea who Heather was until very recently -- and she did not beat her up or have anything to do with her being attacked physically before disappearing like many are claiming. She told me over the phone that she was in California two weeks before Heather disappeared (the general time that she supposedly assaulted the woman). She says they had only just returned when her car was found. Other rumors that insinuate that she may have known her earlier are also false, the woman explained to me. Any rumors claiming that she was assaulted or confronted two months ago are false, she said, because she didn't even know who Heather was.

Tammy Caison Moorer insists that the only thing she and her husband are guilty of is "loving Disney" -- which they certainly do, having taken frequent trips to Disneyland. But going to Disneyland and appreciating the many beloved characters have absolutely nothing to do with the disappearance of Heather Elvis -- and Tammy wants to point out that the supposed "love triangle" between the three of them also has nothing to do with the case. In fact, she insists that there was never a supposed "love triangle" at all, and that her husband's extramarital fling lasted but only a small handful of times -- after what she believes was Heather Elvis openly plotting to seduce Sidney Moorer for several months. Tammy Caison Moorer told me that neither she or Sidney were aware that Heather was using her public Twitter account to comment frequently -- even as far back as early summer of 2013 -- about wanting to have sex with the man now being accused by members of the public of being involved with her disappearance. Tammy was adamant in insisting that Sydney only had sex with Heather Elvis in her car a total of three times, after which he broke it off with her.

"He ended it when he realized something wasn't right about her," Tammy said on the phone.

That was before she knew of the Twitter account containing comments that archived several months of Heather's interest in Sidney along with various comments about "being a homewrecker" in a way that indicated she was proud of the affair she was pursuing. This behavior disturbs Tammy and her husband, I was told on the phone. She expressed the sentiment that she believes Heather was stalking her husband, and now she believes that Heather's obsession with Sidney may have carried over to her disappearance -- meaning that people are unfairly focusing on her family because of a situation that isn't at all what's being rumored by people on the FindHeatherElvis page. Tammy agreed that Heather seemed troubled, and shared one detail with me that I don't think others know. She says that Heather lied to Sidney about her age, claiming to be 23 when she initiated a sexual relationship with him.

As for Sidney being the last to talk to Heather? Tammy says that Heather called him the last night she was seen, but that's it. She called from a blocked number and Sidney answered to tell her to leave him alone. Prior to that, their last communication -- according to Tammy -- was when Heather texted Sidney nothing more than a single period (.) from her phone back on November 5th.

So what does Tammy Caison Moorer think happened to Heather Elvis?

"We think she ran away. She's run away before (According to what some of her friends have said on social media)."

The idea of Heather running away before was news to me, and I can't find anything that confirms or eliminates this as fact or fiction. However, I will say that her Twitter account indicates a desire to flee Myrtle Beach in more than a couple places. In fact, she even expresses at one point that a one way ticket to Thailand was only a certain price. Is it possible that Heather is somewhere on her own, voluntarily, maybe overseas?

What's it been like for the Moorer family since Heather Elvis disappeared?

In a word: Hell. And Terry Elvis mentioning a "bounty" publicly on the FindHeatherElvis Facebook page does not help matters. Tammy Caison Moorer told me that Terry Elvis and people associated with him and his family have threatened her, have vandalized her property and made her feel alienated in her own community. She even told me that there has been some kind of discussion by rabid supporters of the Elvis family making internet comments about kidnapping her own children in order to make her and her husband Sidney "talk" and "tell what happened to Heather." Yet, she still insists that neither one of them know a thing about the Myrtle Beach woman's disappearance.

She alleges that Terry and his associates have looked through her mailbox, driven by her home on multiple occasions and have pretty much created an environment that has her worried that her family is in danger. She says that her and her husband have been 100% cooperative over the course of this case, and they have allowed the detectives to search their home and all of their property. Yet she is still being targeted with threats, harassment and even vandalism.

"I'm pissed," she stated in an exhausted voice.

Tammy Caison Moorer also filled me in on her side of what took place with volunteer searchers on Sunday. This All Voices article shares the searchers' claims that Tammy and her father may have "verbally assaulted" them. However, according to Tammy, the searchers were trespassing. She says that one searcher had come into the yard toward a bag of leaves and even allegedly looked in or around the windows of a vehicle on the lot. To Moorer's defense, if this is true, the searchers had no right to cross into private property. Tammy says that there are police reports and video to prove what happened as well.
Sidney and Tammy Moorer
Photo provided by Moorer family
As for the talk about the Moorer's marriage: It's irrelevant. Tammy Caison Moorer explained on the phone that she and her husband didn't have the traditional marriage that many people are used to -- especially people in the dominantly traditional-Christian community that surrounds her. Her once open marriage with Sidney is none of anybody's business, nor is it anyone's business that she and him are working on building a stronger marriage for the strength and quality of a loving family. Who has a perfect marriage? Nobody.

Do you believe Tammy's claims that her and her husband are absolutely not involved with Heather's disappearance? Or do you think she is doing what she can to convince us of otherwise? This is indeed a case full of twists and turns, and no matter what the outward appearance of things, we don't all know the facts. It's probably not the best idea to assume that any one or two people are "definite" culprits in this case if Heather was kidnapped or murdered. In cases like these where nobody knows for certain what happened, a lot of harm can be done by singling out people to the point that they become vulnerable to being harmed.

Heather Elvis update: Where's the body?

Will Heather Elvis ever be found? It's hard to tell, what with South Carolina authorities focusing primarily on the prosecution of Tammy and Sidney Moorer. It's been almost four years since Heather was last seen in the Myrtle Beach area, and there have been no discoveries of human remains, or any other hard evidence to determine that she's dead, and was murdered. So what's going on in this case?

On Thursday (April 13) at 6:00 p.m., PST, the Case to Case podcast will air a special episode about the disappearance of Heather Elvis. This show will be a pre-recorded airing, but there will be time to take live calls on the air after the presentation ends.

The Case to Case podcast takes live calls through Skype, now! The number to call during the END of Thursday night's broadcast is (702) 997-1983. Call during the end of the special presentation about Heather Elvis's disappearance, and speak live on the air with your comments and questions about the case.

Do you think the body of Heather Elvis will ever be found? Do you think Sidney and Tammy Moorer are responsible for her disappearance? I look forward to hearing from you after Thursday night's presentation! Use the hashtags #HeatherElvis and #FindHeatherElvis on Twitter and Facebook to talk about Thursday's show!

'Hipster' sought in string of assaults on women

A series of attacks on women in Seattle have authorities concerned, and they've issued a warning to anyone who may be walking alone in the area. At least two women have been victims of attempted sexual assaults, at the hands of an unidentified assailant.

The victims of these attempted assaults have described the man as a "hipster," and have provided details which lent to police sketch. There is also grainy surveillance footage, which appears to show who police believe to be the culprit in this string of assaults.

Police in Seattle want women in the area to be aware of their surroundings while out walking, as these assaults have taken place in open areas. Both incidents were stopped by passerby. This brash and brazen behavior indicates that the "hipster" attacker is emboldened enough to attack at any time. Authorities are encouraging women to take self defense classes.

If you recognize the person seen in the above sketch, please do not hesitate to get in touch with authorities. Any information could bring a sexual predator to justice and prevent future victims.

California teen accused of raping and killing elderly woman

A California teen has been arrested for committing an absolutely atrocious crime, which has left an 61-year-old woman dead. The Dreamin' Demon reports that 18-year-old Neven Butler is accused of raping and murdering the elderly woman in an usual location: A high school track.

Police say that the 61-year-old unnamed victim was walking along the track with a female friend, when the 18-year-old suspect seemed to appear from nowhere. Butler allegedly attacked the elderly woman, but also turned on her friend (who was trying to stop the assault). Ultimately, both women were raped by the assailant. However, authorities say that 18-year-old Neven Butler violently battered the 61-year-old victim to death as her younger friend fled from the scene to find help.

It appears that the California teen was on a sort of crime spree. That became apparent to police, who arrested him later in the same day, while in the middle of committing another assault. Police say the 18-year-old man was assaulting a 92-year-old woman when they arrested him "without incident."

Stephen McAfee reportedly found dismembered and buried after missing for over a year

Police have made a gruesome discovery in the search for a man who has been missing for more than a year. CBS News reports that the dismembered body of Stephen McAfee has been located -- but that's not the only shocking development in this previously-cold case.

Authorities with the Macomb County Sheriff's Office reportedly located dismembered human remains on two different properties -- an abandoned property in Bruce Township, and the property inhabited by a 19-year-old man named Andrew Fiacco.

Both Fiacco and his 18-year-old girlfriend, Yvette MacDonald, have been arrested in association with the missing Michigan man's death. Police have confirmed that these arrests may not have been made possible without the information provided by two tipsters. A young woman and her father reportedly met with detectives to reveal to them that 18-year-old Yvette MacDonald had admitted to helping Fiacco dispose of the 19-year-old missing man's body.

MacDonald has reportedly claimed that Fiacco shot Stephen McAfee, and over a span of a month after the murder she and the 19-year-old suspect dismembered and disposed of the man's remains. She has been charged as an accessory to murder, along with mutilation of a dead body -- but could she face further charges?

Nineteen-year-old Stephen McAfee vanished in March 2016 under suspicious circumstances. While he had been known to disappear in the past, his loved ones were concerned that he had not been keeping in touch with them. Over the past year there has been little to no coverage of this man's case in the mainstream media, but authorities in Michigan did continue looking for clues. Nonetheless, it's thanks to two good Samaritans that this chapter of the case can be closed.

It's absolutely tragic that the search for Stephen McAfee came to this end, but it's hopeful that the two people responsible for his demise -- and the suffering of his family for over a year -- are brought to justice.

Madeleine McCann update: Cops focus on another red herring

To no surprise, Madeleine McCann is still missing. To be completely frank, it's unlikely that she'll ever be found. However, that won't stop investigators in the UK from investigating every single avenue but the one logical one that is staring them right in their collective faces. In the latest update to this ongoing saga, detectives have revealed that they have yet again another suspect in the search for answers behind what happened to the missing toddler. What's new about this latest red herring? She's a woman!

That's right. The newest target in UK detectives' quest to avoid the obvious is reportedly a woman. Authorities are looking for this mystery woman, who was reportedly in the area around the time Maddie vanished, for a "significant line of questioning." So what could this mean for the case as a whole? Probably nothing. This phantom female suspect is more than likely no different from every other so-called suspect that's been named-and-cleared over the past decade.

Meanwhile, two people remain completely suspicious in Madeleine McCann's disappearance: Her own parents. In my book, The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann, I highlight the mountain of evidence that has existed against Kate and Gerry McCann for the numerous years that Maddie has been missing. Such evidence includes cadaver dog findings, which have indicated that Madeleine died in the apartment where her parents left her unsupervised the night she vanished.

Are Kate and Gerry hiding something? All of the evidence says yes! But Scotland Yard detectives seem to have no concept of Occam's Razor. Millions in taxpayer money have been spent on this endless search for suspects, when there has never been any evidence of a break-in or abduction in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

Will this latest red herring bring an end to at least part of this case? Again, I say it's highly unlikely.
