A missing San Diego woman's cellphone has been located, but the discovery only creates more questions in this increasingly disturbing case. Police say that 30-year-old Alexandria Nicole Smith has been missing since Monday night.

Smith was last seen driving her 2015 Toyota Corolla (Grey, Lic# 7CPB649) at around 11:00 p.m., but hasn't made any contact with her loved ones since. Her mother reported her missing, and believes that she may have been on her way to a party when she vanished.

The discovery of her phone, just days after she vanished, is a disturbing element. It indicates that someone purposely disposed of the important item, which is suspicious. Alexandria, a single mother who live with her own mother, has a history of drug use and suffers from depression, which means it's a possibility that she could be missing voluntarily. Nonetheless, there's a very strong possibility that someone else threw her cellphone in a dumpster, and that possibility comes with sinister suspicions. If this missing woman fell victim to foul play, who knows where she might end up?

Alexandria Nicole Smith is described as white, 5'4" and approximately 130 lbs. She has long reddish-brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing denim jeans and a blue sweater. If you know anything about her disappearance, or if you think you may have sighted her or her vehicle, please do not hesitate to call Detective Ken Springer at (619) 336-4411.
