As you all are aware, I've been covering the disappearance of Mikaela Lynch -- and have come under scrutiny for my opinions on the case. I'm standing by my opinion that the family needs to be investigated and punished for this incident. This child was left alone with only the supervision of a younger sibling, and now she's missing. Earlier it was presumed that she could have drowned in the lake that her home faces, but now surveillance footage has shown her running down the street by her home. So it's apparent that she did escape. So that means it's important to continue the search for her. She could be alive somewhere, but with it going on day four of her disappearance, that hope is quickly going to disappear if she's not found.
In the meantime, her parents have refused to speak to the media -- and that's not that surprising.
