The kindergarten teacher very obviously doesn't have a history of disappearing like this, and witch each day that goes by without her being found it becomes more and more apparent that something bad happened -- but what? Furthermore, who would be responsible for such a thing. While it's statistically likely that her soon-to-be ex husband might know more about what happened to her than we do, there are also other possibilities. She lived in a remote area that very few people new about, so it would have to be someone familiar with the area. What needs to be questioned is if anyone else had reason to be in the area of her home.
It's a sad possibility, but if Heather Palumbo-Jones met some kind of foul play, a murder wouldn't be out of the ordinary in this type of disappearance. Though it's also possible, on a lesser scale, that she voluntarily vanished to escape the reality of her life. Nonetheless, there is no evidence to support any particular theory. Until officials release more information it will be hard to speculate one way or the other.
